Spanish Striker In Last Chance Saloon At Stamford Bridge

|

The 2018 /2019 season, as far as Alvaro Morata is concerned, has started in the same manner as the 2017 / 2018 season ended.

The 25-year-old Spanish striker looks a shadow of the player that started last season so well.

If the art of striking is all about confidence, then Morata’s tank has been running on empty for quite a while.

In fact, his lack of form could see the Spaniard’s career at Chelsea come to a premature end, with Maurizio Sarri opting to use Olivier Giroud as his lone striker in recent games.

The good folk of the Sun, are reporting that Morata could be moving come the opening of the January transfer window, with the Serie A side Juventus, who he has played for previously, said to be a probable destination.

Here at Vital Chelsea, we’re a little perplexed as to how a striker who looked so good when he first arrived at Stamford Bridge has turned into a shadow of his former self.

Can Morata resurrect his Chelsea career or is the time fast coming where a move is perhaps inevitable?
