The decision, wrongly in our opinion, to charge Eden Hazard with bringing the game into disrepute, could galvanise Chelsea into standing their ground.
Reportedly, Chelsea accepted the red card shown to Hazard, and the subsequent three game ban, in the opinion that the punishment was sufficient.
Now if, as expected, the Football Association decides that further punishment is required, quite possibly by the extension of the ban, Chelsea will, so several news sources are reporting, appeal and stand their corner.
