Sunderland (a) – Time For A Big Win!

I am feeling gradually more confident about this weekend. This obviously means that OLASAL will be feeling gradually more D&G until kick-off. No, but seriously, the omens look good. For once.

I mean we`re expected to win aren`t we? Just like Liverpool are expected to be the best team in England; Hargreaves is expected to be a great, injury-free signing for Citeh and Sp*ds are expected to move off the bottom of the table.

Normally I`d be predicting a Chelsea win against any team, that comes from supporting a team for years. Even if we put out our Ladies side against Barca in the CL final, I`d be calling for a Blues win. It`s how it is.

This weekend though, and with all the hullabaloo that has gone on while the transfer window shuts, Sunderland won`t win. They are without a number of important players – Henderson, Bent, Gyan, ANTON FERDINAND. They may have added to their ranks with some good signings but so have we.

Another reason for my positivity (new word, feel free to use it) is the emergence of a front three so devastating it makes Barca`s front three look like? erm? Arsenal`s.

If we play Mata on the left, Studge on the right and Torres through the middle then we could see a lot of chances created on Saturday. If the team also includes Bosingwa and Cole bombing forward and the midfield linking of Ramires and Meireles then I fail to see beyond a comprehensive Chelsea victory.

Call me crazy or call me whatever you like but we all know that AvB`s hard work has to pay off soon and the new pacey Blues will find good results week in week out.

If I was a betting man I`d look at the handicap market with Chelsea minus 1/Chelsea minus 2. This could end up a rout but I reckon Chelsea 3-0 will be the score.

So, I`m ready for your well constructed arguments?

CAREFREE!
