Team-Mate Believes Chelsea Star Will Stay At Stamford Bridge

|

Yesterday, in an article, we remarked on the conundrum Chelsea face when it comes to the long-term future of Eden Hazard.

Our article Click Here, discussed whether Chelsea would sell their prized asset this summer, in order to get a substantial fee for the Belgian international, or whether to hold on to the player for another year, bearing in mind we’ll be operating under a two-window transfer ban, thereby letting the player walk away as a free agent the following summer.

Today, two further snippets of information / speculation have surfaced in the media.

The first, courtesy of the news source, ESPN, implies that Chelsea are fearful they’ll have no choice in the matter when it comes to Hazard’s future, fearing that he will insist on a move to Real Madrid, with Chelsea looking for a fee of £100 million.

However, the second snippet offers hope to those who are desperate to see Eden remain at Stamford Bridge with, according to the news source, Sky Sports, one of his team-mates, Emerson, commenting on the situation and reported as having remarked:

“He shows every day how important he is.

“Obviously we have many players of quality in our team, but he is on another level, and is one of the best in the world.

“I personally cannot see him leaving, but you never know in football. As Chelsea fans, we are afraid that he might leave, I still believe that he will stay and we really want him to stay.”

Hopefully, Emerson’s belief that Eden will remain with the club will prove to be true.

All we can do is sit tight and wait and see, although the wait will, undoubtedly, be an anxious one.
