Honestly. You think you’ve seen it all. We’ve heard about the booing of the national anthem and the several reports of some very unsavoury incidents around Wembley of numbers of Liverpool fans making trouble with isolated small groups of one or two Chelsea in colours.

Sadly the celebrations surrounding yesterday’s fine cup final win over Liverpool continue to be marred by the behavior of Liverpool fans.

On Twitter earlier, much to the horror of the people on my timeline, a Liverpool fan’s vile racist abuse of our own Didier Drogba floated to the surface like the sewer waste it is.

The tweet said:

‘Words cannot describe my hatred for Didier Drogba, dirty, n****** c***.’

Nice.

Such class.

It seems they werent kidding about living in the past – the 1920s!

The amazing thing is that the idiot who posted it (who then scurried to try to delete it shortly afterwards) is from Bognor Regis, in the South of England, and worst of all, that the writer is a young woman.

What a shocking indictment on kids of today when the young women are growing up to think it is ok to use language like that, let alone to hold such iron age antiquated opinions.

We here at Chelsea roundly despise racism in all its forms, and are pleased to report that the idiot involved has been reported by the police.

So much for being the best fans in the world.

Can you imagine how embarrassed you would be if you were a Liverpool fan and your supposed younger, more enlightened, more modern, more southern support was throwing out despicable n-words against opposition players like it was nothing?

I’d be horrified. I’d be slating them and telling them in no uncertain terms that they were not welcome on this site or in my presence on match day, for whatever that is worth. As always when its them, its someone else’s fault.

As the stickers say – ‘Outraged by everything, ashamed of nothing’
