Next to reveal his thoughts on the seven questions asked is somebody who has been a Vital Chelsea member for an age, step forward analooish.

– What was your best memory of the 2016 / 2017 season?

So many to pick from but for sheer joy on the day, I’m going for beating Manure 4-0 on 23rd October, specifically Pedro’s 1st minute goal.

2 – What was your worst memory of the 2016 / 2017 season?

Liverpool’s win at The Bridge on 16th December & then having to listen/ watch as Poo Media Mafia lauded Henderson’s winning long range goal and all the time getting gloating texts from my 2 red brothers

3 – Who was your player of the season?

Joint winners really, N’Golo Kante and N’Golo Kante

4 – Who was your unsung hero of the season?

May seem a strange choice but in terms of minutes on pitch (few) measured against off field influence (huge), I go for JT

5 – What was your favourite goal of the season?

Eden Hazard’s destruction of the Arsenal defence, I can replay it my mind at any time

6 – Which opposition player impressed you the most?

Much as I hate to praise anything or anyone from north of the river, it has to be Harry Kane. He has always looked a good striker from the day he first played for Spuds, now there is no doubt that he is a great one. Scores great goals but also scores the routine ones, got to put him up there with the likes of Fowler, Owen, Henry, Lineker, Shearer, Cole, Rush, Law and Greaves, just wish he was a Blue

7 – Which one player would you urge Chelsea to sign before the start of the 2017 / 2018 season?

Accepting that Kane is currently out of reach for any club and will remain so unless Spurs have a bad season, for me it’s Tom Davies from Everton. He is listed as a Defensive Midfielder but to my mind he is much more than that. A real ball of energy, he will be 19 at end of June and is destined to be a superstar, with the right guidance he might one day rival Kante. Not that I believe that Everton would sell him, especially not to us, but worth asking with £30 million in our hand.
