There Will Be No Agùero

Silly season is still open another 11 days, but we can now definetely forget any transfer of Maradona`s son-in-law Sergio “Kun” Agùero del Castillo, 172 cm, to Chelsea.

That will not happen. To the dismay of many, not to the dismay of others. We had the Robinho saga last year and we have had the Aguero saga this season.

Some £45m in transfer sum and a weekly wage of £200,000 was what the 21 year old Argentinian was to cost any club wanting him – according to the always truthful (not) Spanish media.

Just as so many thought Robinho was the answer to just everything for Chelsea last Summer the feelings seems to have been the same about the second best goal scorer in Athletico Madrid last season, Sergio Agùero. Robinho is from what I think he showed in City a bullet we dodged, not even the City fans seems to be behind him?! I do not say the same would have happened with Agùero, but I have never made it a secret that I have had doubts. Less of him as a footballer, more of him as a player suited for Chelsea and a character suited for our squad.

Well, no one will know this season as Athletico Madrid have appointed him officially starting for the Champions League qualifying game against the greek team Panathinaikos. Which means that Agùero he will be unsellable to any team but Manchester Cashy. He will then be unavailable to use for any other club in the CL and no club will spend a large amount on a player not available in the media darling cup Champions League.

So there will be no Agùero, this year, in Chelsea. Can we now close our Silly Season wishlist here at Vital Chelsea?
