After falling from grace, with regards to selection for the Spanish squad, Fernando Torres has been selected for the 26 man provisional squad for the forthcoming Confederations Cup.
The tournament, to be held in Brazil, is seen as an ideal warm-up, climate wise, for the 2014 World Cup Finals and Torres will be joined in the 26 man pool by another of our Spanish contingent, Juan Mata.
It would appear that Torres decent finish to the season, including that goal in the Europa League Final, has paid dividends for our record signing.
