The official Chelsea Website have this morning announced that Nathan Ake has left the club to join AFC Bournemouth
According to The Sun the move is worth £20million to the Blues. The article quotes Ake as saying ‘It’s an exciting challenge, Chelsea is a great club and I learned so much there but this is a new step and the right place for me to develop even more.’
It’s such a shame that we’ve lost one of our most promising youngsters, but he knows his best chance of regular football is away from Stamford Bridge. As we’ve discussed here recently it appears to be the way Chelsea’s academy operates.
