According to himself the 17-year old Turkish international Gökhan Töre has signed a 3,5 year contract with Chelsea. He announced it yesterday on his website, Chelsea however have not officially commented on the signing.
Töre just turned 17 and played for Bayern Leverkusen. Töre is born in Germany but has still opted to represent Turkey as a youth player. With changed rules I think he can still change which national senior team he wants to represent.
Töre has belonged to Leverkusen since 1999 as a seven year old.
Considering his age Töre is obviously another buy for the future and we should not expect him to reach the first squad anytime soon. The signing has been confirmed by his agent Bektas Demirtas.
