On the back of being selected for the provisional World Cup squad, matters could also be improving for Wayne on the club front.

Let?s deal with the first suggestion to begin with. According to the tabloid in question, Wayne has asked Fulham to make his transfer permanent and Fulham have submitted a bid in the region of £4 million pound.

The second suggests that contrary to popular belief, Mourinho has now decided that Wayne is a far better option than Asier Del Horno at left back suggesting that Mourinho is looking to offload the Spaniard.

Clearly, if that is the case then there is little or no chance, of both being sold without Chelsea recruiting a top class replacement. With both player shaving made their respective provisional squads of twenty-seven players; you get the feeling that this saga could yet take another turn
