Back in August when Radamel Falcao arrived at Stamford Bridge, Jose Mourinho was of the opinion that he could return the Colombian striker to the form that saw him, wearing the colours of Atletico Madrid, tear our defence apart in a European Super Cup Final.

Well November is almost upon us and we`ve seen nothing from Falcao that suggests he is ever going to recapture the form that was his trademark before he picked up a bad knee injury. In fact, a return of one goal, for the money we`re paying out seems to be scant reward.

Now whether Falcao will be heading for the exit door come the opening of the transfer window remains to be seen but speculation is growing that somebody familiar to Chelsea supporters harbours ambitions of taking the striker to his club.

According to the Telegraph, one Andre Villas-Boas is interested in taking Falcao, on loan, to the Russian outfit Zenit St Petersburg.

Our source implies that Villa-Boas wanted to take Falcao on loan last summer but the financial terms were prohibitive, but with Falcao not performing as Chelsea hoped and Mourinho pledged, Zenit may be set to make a January swoop.
