With the two teams heading into the changing rooms, Antonio Conte is cobbling his team selection together. Being the biggest game Chelsea have featured in since the last one, here at Vital Chelsea we thought we’d ask for your views on team selection.

There are always going to be certain players that everyone would look to include. Even the most maverick would include Eden Hazard or N`golo Kante.

One name we don’t have to concern ourselves with is Tiemoue Bakayoko, he`s not available for selection. No disrespect to the big Frenchman but that’s maybe no bad thing. Ross Barkley is also doubtful.

We asked for your opinions as to who Antonio Conte should pick. Those who suggested teams all had the same basic line up as you would expect. Merlin was first up. His suggested eleven is probably pretty much spot on. Courtois, Azpilicueta, Christensen, Rudiger, Alonso, Moses, Kante, Fabregas, Willian, Giroud, Hazard

My only alteration to that was the addition of David Luiz as an extra man in midfield and dropping Willian to the bench, for a 3-5-2 formation. Black Russian on the other hand, agreed with using Luiz in midfield but replacing Fabregas and retaining the 3-4-3 used to such good effect last season.

Chistan went rogue with his suggestion, going all out with a complete change of formation, believing ‘a 4-2-3-1 is necessary for this game in which case my selection becomes; Courtois, Azpilicueta, Christensen, Rudiger, Alonso, Kante, Luiz/Drinkwater, Hazard, Willian, Pedro, Morata.`

I`m not sure Conte will be that adventurous against Barcelona. Layorh12 was not impressed,

`Why would Conte change the team’s formation/shape of the team when he is about to play one of the best teams in the world?…this is not FIFA 18 bro LOL.`

The last suggestion was from Etz Klassy Prince, who also favoured Chistan`s 4-2-3-1 formation. His choice of goalkeeper was different though, preferring Willy Caballero between the sticks. He`s certainly had some good games recently. It`ll be interesting to see if Conte uses him should the game eventually go to penalties. Victor Moses also made the starting XI.

With the announcement of Conte`s team minutes away it will be interesting to see which way he goes compared to our selections.
