With a slight lull before the weekends fixture against Southampton, we`re currently running a series of polls to find out who the Vital Chelsea readership regard as Chelsea`s best starting XI.
So far, the defensive lineup is finalised, Cesar Azpilicueta, Andreas Christensen and Antonio Rudiger have made the lineup. In the last poll we asked you to pick your favoured central midfielder.
We gave you a choice of five players,

Not unsurprisingly it was N`golo Kante who topped the poll, picking up 77% of the votes cast. The diminutive Frenchman is like having two players on the field, such is the ground he covers.
Second pick was Cesc Fabregas who polled 14%, he may be lacking defensively but he can still pick a pass.
Third choice David Luiz also featured in the defensive poll, in the central midfield role he scored the remaining 9% of the votes cast in the first round of voting.
Neither Danny Drinkwater or Tiemoue Bakayoko featured in the voting. Let`s see if they fare better in the second round of voting.
