Yesterday, as the news broke, we mentioned that Chelsea Football Club had negotiated a ten year extension to their Adidas kit deal.
At the time of running the article we were unsure of the terms of the deal but suspected, fro Chelsea to go public, it would be a good one.
Well it turns out that not only is it a good one but it is the biggest negotiated by a Premier League side ever with the deal being worth a cool £300 million at a cool £30 million a year.
The deal eclipses that of our rivals with Chelsea topping a list of kit deals which looks as thus;-
1 – Chelsea (10 years) – £300 million
2 – Manchester United (15 years) – £287 million
3 – Arsenal (5 years) – £150 million
4 – Liverpool (6 years) – £150 million
5 – Manchester City (6 years) – £72 million
6 – Spurs (5 years) – £50 million
All that remains now is to sell the naming rights of Stamford Bridge and we`ll have hit the jackpot.
