Well, I hope you won’t be disappointed…Wazza haters, because this is just not what you want to hear.

It`s bad news to you lot, I’m afraid. You true Blues fixated on a certain pricey Uruguayan dog named ‘Edinson’, the one refusing to cave in, to our advances and all, yes, that one owned by the wheeler-dealer movie producer-cum-football entrepreneur par notorious excellence (damn you, don’t ask me his name ‘cos I’ve forgotten!); and all those sitting on the fence, or perching…and the fleet-footed jumpers suddenly seeing a need to jump off the sunken £53m bandwagon badly exposed, bashed and questioned on Thursday night in Brazil by none other than Chelsea kid, Kenneth Omeruo, as Nigeria took on the South American champions at the on-going Confederations Cup.

Sad for you really, but good for some as it seems ‘Shrek’ may soon be shrieking down here at the Bridge if the inference given by the Daily Mirror today is anything to go by.

According to the paper (one of the country’s better ones you might want to note), Wayne Mark Rooney, Man United’s fourth highest goal-scorer of all time is keen to switch to Stamford Bridge as he is said to be excited and really relishing the prospect of playing with the likes of Juan Mata, Eden Hazard and Oscar under Mourinho!

Well, this writer knows how the issue of Rooney (a farkin’ Manure Shrek bla bla bla) joining Chelsea divides opinion among fans here on Vital Chelsea and elsewhere, but if one was being objective with only footballing reasons the facts considered in any analysis, then the best thing to have happened to England since Sir Bobby Charlton would be a perfect fit to our playing system, be it the direct counterattacking 4-3-3 or the more intricate but solid 4-2-3-1!

It could be recalled that the 27 year-old striker issued a verbal transfer request to leave Old Trafford towards the end of last season and after watching Sir Alex replaced by David Moyes, his former manager who sued him for libel after he released his autobiography, ‘Wayne Rooney: My Story So Far’, in 2008 – which he was made to part with the a substantial sum in damages and legal costs – this source understands that the strained relationship between the pair will not aid United in trying to retain his services, and that whilst Arsenal and the likes of PSG and Monaco want his services as well, it is the reigning Europa League winners the player want. And it goes without saying that Abramovich, who is said to love the £25m-rated striker, has the funds to make Man United a juicy offer they can’t refuse.

So what do you reckon? With Fernando Torres and Demba Ba misfiring and the Three Lions’ highest goal-scorer, who sells shirts and merchandise in the millions, wanting a domestic club that can offer him a top striking spot, does ‘Shrek’ meet your fancy or you’re still fixated on the expensive top dog who clearly doesn’t want to play for us?

Your thoughts are most welcomed.

Carefree.
