Hello, as I`m new to the site and Merlin is kindly allowing me to write some articles for Vital Chelsea, I just want to take a moment to introduce myself.
I`ve supported Chelsea FC since 1972 when I was just 8 years old. This is a bit sad, but I think the reason I began supporting CFC was due to the fact I`d seen them singing ‘Blue is the Colour` on the TV programme Top of the Pops. I`ve never stopped since.
I was with Chelsea in 80`s when we dominated the second division and the Full Members Cup, and they say we have no history!
As for the writing side, well we fast forward to this year, and 45 years on from that appearance by the boys on TV. This is all new to me. I think I discovered that I enjoyed writing when I was asked to write match reports for my son`s junior football team and look after their website. Writing for them was either feast or famine, if I was writing about a 10-0 win one week, the next week it would be the other way round. He finished playing in 2016, writing about Chelsea has plugged that creative gap for me.
Well that`s me, I hope you`ll go easy with me. Like Merlin, Stan and the other contributors to the site, I`m hope you can appreciate that whatever we say, however we say it, ‘Blue is the Colour!!`
