I love it, I just love it, it`s almost as if we`re going to play the role of a James Bond villain and be the villain to bring down the secret agent.
Mad I know, but that`s the effect the summer sun has on us Englishmen as a race.
But here we are, still tainted (by some) as the Axis of Evil and now to compound matters, we`re being linked with one of the biggest opinion dividers in football – Luis Suarez.
The arm-chomping, racist remark throwing Uruguayan has come clean about why he wants to leave Anfield, he wants to bare his teeth on the biggest stage there is in Europe, the Champions League.
Furthermore, Jose Mourinho sat in his office chair, quite possibly with a white cat sat on his lap, in true Bond villain style has decreed that Luis Suarez is the man for him, the final piece in a jigsaw that will herald the downfall of the establishment.
Furthermore, backing his old foe, Liverpool, into a corner, Jose knows Suarez`s contract has a clause in it that decrees that if any club bids £40 million for the player then they have to give that bid some thought, although they don`t have to sell.
But amongst this speculative jest the irony of what may occur brings a wry smile to my face. Here we are contemplating spending another huge sum on a player who is, in fact, banned for the first quarter of the season having bitten the arm of one of our own, I wonder if Suarez, with his Champions League ambitions now brought to the forefront, is chomping at the bit (Jaws style) to perhaps join us!
