The topic of Chelsea`s small squad continues to rumble on.
Yesterday, for the Community Shield fixture, Chelsea`s bench consisted of:

? Antonio Rudiger
? Alvaro Morata
? Charley Musonda
? Andreas Christensen
? Kyle Scott
? Jeremie Boga
Between the seven of them, they`ve made a combined total of just 1 appearance, that being from the substitutes bench.
Looking at the back of the Wembley programme, Chelsea`s squad numbered 24 whilst Arsenal`s numbered 41.
Something that our club captain, Gary Cahill, commented upon remarking to the media when asked about the squad size,
‘The back of the programme was interesting.’
Continuing, when pressed on the squad size, Cahill remained very diplomatic, further adding,
‘In terms of quality we’ve certainly got that and you just have to hope we don’t have too many injuries.’
With Pedro having picked up a knock in pre-season that requires the ‘Mask of Zorro` to be worn, with Tiemoue Bakayoko still recovering from a knee injury and the jewel in our crown, Eden Hazard, recovering from an ankle broken in training with the Belgian national squad, you`re not wrong there Gary!
