Looking through the history books, it seems that Chelsea are not having the best of times when it comes to the Community Shield.
Here are four facts that could quite easily be labelled as the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse!
1 – Chelsea have now lost their last 4 Community Shield fixtures, the last time we took the familiar shield home was back in 2009 when we won on penalties.
2 – The last 2 red cards issued in Community Shield fixtures have both been given to Chelsea players. Yesterday it was Pedro that took the dreaded walk and back in 2012, it was Branislav Ivanovic who took the same walk, this time at Villa Park when Manchester City were the opposition.
3 – Everything appeared to be going to plan with Chelsea leading 1-0 but 82 mad seconds changed that. That was the time between Pedro being shown a red-card and Sead Kolasinac heading home the Arsenal equaliser.
4 – Chelsea`s attempts at a penalty shoot-out resembled a Keystone Cops spectacle, enough said!
Things can only get better!
