As the club seems to lurch from one unsavoury incident to another and hopes of another trophy end, are we on the slippery slope?

Petr Cech, somebody with a decent view of things from between the sticks, seems to think so, commenting to the media yesterday about our season having been going downhill for several months,

“We didn`t have a bad start to the season but then we had the European Super Cup against Atletico Madrid in August when we didn`t even turn up.”

“After that everything was going downhill and we ended up with the change of manager.”

“In the last few games we haven`t killed teams off. Even when we beat Arsenal it was the same old story. We need to be more clinical.”

We certainly do and we can start to get things back on track by getting a decent result at Griffin Park tomorrow, against Brentford, anything other than a win will see more media scorn heading in our direction.
