Even though Chelsea have that vital away goal in the bag, courtesy of a strike from John Obi Mikel, in the Parc des Princes in Paris, it`s probably fair to say that we start as the underdogs in the Champions League last-16 second leg tie this Wednesday evening.

Our French opponents, although they lost or the first time in an age, against Lyon the weekend before last, are a side that are in form, one mistake, on Wednesday evening, will put the tie beyond Chelsea.

With an array of attacking talent at their disposal, the French champions are a dangerous proposition, but they can be beaten and with the prospect of another magical European night, at Stamford Bridge, fast approaching, we`ve learned to expect the unexpected when it comes to Chelsea.

If we are to succeed, one player that could open the French defence up is our 27-year-old Brazilian, Willian, who speaking about the forthcoming tie has had this to say to the media,

“We know they want the ball and to keep possession, but we must put them under pressure and press. It will be difficult but we can qualify.”

Yes we can, it`ll need the defence to do their job, it`ll need Thibaut Courtois to pull off a few world-class saves, it`ll need Fabregas to play those delicate balls through the gaps, it`ll need Hazard and Willian to stretch and run a the defence and it`ll need our very own ‘dog-of-war` Diego Costa to ruffle a few French feathers and get those goals that will take us through to the quarter-finals where, as we know, anything can happen.

Believe, keep the faith, get behind the boys and anything could happen.
