Less than an hour ago, news filtered through relating to Chelsea’s proposed 2-transfer window transfer ban.

Earlier this week, here at Vital Chelsea, Click Here, we exposed the possibility that FIFA would not grant Chelsea a transfer amnesty whilst their appeal was held.

Today that has proven to be exactly the case with the BBC, reporting that FIFA has closed the door on Chelsea having a mega-spending spree this summer before the appeal is concluded.

Reacting to the news and as reported by our reference source, Chelsea have responded with:

“Chelsea Football Club is astonished by the FIFA appeal committee’s decision not to suspend its sanction pending completion of the appeal process.

“So far as the club is aware, in all previous cases where a registration ban has been imposed by FIFA, a decision has also been made to suspend the sanction until the appeal process has been completed.

“In this case, Chelsea considers that it is being treated inconsistently in comparison with other European clubs.”

That may be the case but we did warn of this possibility in our article Click Here.

It remains to be seen what Chelsea’s next step is.

  • It will be as I hunted at in my exchange with Solid, a field day fit the lawyers. Good job we can afford the best

  • It’s yet to be seen if the process will favor us, and ultimately, it will only delay the inevitable (at best). I have a feeling this is going to be a painful and humbling experience.

  • Anyone thinks Sarri will play youth because of this, guess again, never has never will. We cannot appeal to the CSA until after FIFA rejects our appeal, that could be a year from now after we serve the ban. Lastly those geniuses in the board and Roman have known we were being investigated since Dec 2016, we were arrogant and did not prepare for the worst.
