Chelsea Deal For Striker Almost But Not Quite Done

|

There has been an abundance of column inches printed about the possibility of the RB Leipzig striker, Timo Werner, becoming a Chelsea player in recent weeks.

Including, among others, the following article from Vital Chelsea ā€“ chelsea-focus-on-bundesliga-to-improve-their-squad.

However, the expected jig of delight that would await confirmation of the deal is still on hold.

So, according to the media, where are we when it comes to the 24-year-old German international putting pen-to-paper on a contract.

Well, according to The Telegraph the deal is almost complete with Chelsea sorting out the final details before making a formal announcement.

Elsewhere, The Mirror is running with the inference that Werner is definitely leaving the Bundesliga reporting that the RB Leipzig boss, Julian Nagelsmann has admitted that Werner has no future at the club.

Iā€™m probably not alone in wanting this deal to be announced by the Chelsea hierarchy fearful that the longer it drags on the more chance there is of it not happening.
