This afternoon, Chelsea face a crucial Premier League fixture, when they welcome Fulham to Stamford Bridge for a London derby that kicks-off at high noon.
Last Sunday, Chelsea suffered their first defeat, in all competitions, when they were crushed 3-1, by Tottenham Hotspur, at Wembley.
If losing wasn’t bad enough, especially to Tottenham, the fact that Chelsea gave their worst performance of the season saw the support left feeling very disgruntled.
Fulham, on the other hand, with a new man in charge, the likeable Claudio Ranieri, someone we all know so well, managed to pick up their first win in seven matches, edging out Southampton in a five-goal thriller.
Ahead of the fixture today, we used our poll facility to try and gauge how you, the Vital Chelsea fraternity, believe this one will end.
With the poll now closed, we can disclose that, despite Chelsea’s recent stuttering form, 63% of you are confident that Chelsea can make a return to winning ways against their neighbours.
A further 24% feel that the least we can expect is a draw, although that result could see our top-four hopes dealt a minor blow, whilst 13% are of the opinion ‘The Tinkerman’ will stride into Stamford Bridge and see is new charges beat his former club.
Let’s hope the majority are correct!
Up the Chels!
