Chelsea`s attempts to land a right-back able to also play as a wing-back is starting to prove troublesome.

With it being hugely unlikely that the club will be able to entice Juventus into selling Alex Sandro, attention was turned to the Real Madrid player, Danilo.

The 26-year-old Brazilian seems a perfect fit even more so when it is being reported by the Daily Star that the player is interested in a move to Stamford Bridge.

However, there could still be a major obstacle to overcome.

Lurking in the pages of the British institution that is the Sunday Times is the inference that two other clubs are also looking at procuring the services of Danilo.

Manchester City, in their quest to, supposedly, buy four full-backs this summer are said to be interested as are the very club Alex Sandro plays for, Juventus. With this referenced source suggesting that the player is available for just £21.6 million, there could be a right tussle ahead if Chelsea are to bring the player to our lovely part of West London.

Keep those fingers crossed folks.

  • The Board need to up their game before we loose so many targets. haven’t they learnt their lesson on the Lukaku bit? stop dragging feet like Wenger and Assnal. just sign your targets, keep the fans and Coach happy then let’s win titles! #KTBFFH

  • If previous reports are anything to go by, Danilo should be having his medicals already at Chelsea.

  • This season’s transfer hasn’t been fair to us. Why are so many teams being tough with us? If Real Madrid ever want to sign Eden Hazard I hope we don’t accept anything less than £100M
