Chelsea chip in to help fund Scolari?s wages!

Well not really but I sort of feel that with the plethora of fines still being accumulated that the money might actually be used for something substantial rather than sit in the Football Associations bank account.

The fact that it was only £10,000 after the mammoth fines accumulated last season to me indicated just how petty the actual charge was. Indeed, it appears to be small change compared to the Barcelona fiasco last season and the Ashley Cole debacle that still lingers on in some quarters.

However, £10,000 is £10,000 and once again Chelsea appear to have been shafted by those who purport to run football. The fact that the referee, Mark Halsey, was, in my opinion, totally inadequate on the day seems to have been forgotten about.

Once again we?re the villains of the piece whilst West Bromwich, who were themselves no angels that day, get off scot-free after clearly harassing the officials when Arjen Robben was dismissed.

To say that he felt threatened betrays the fact that he, and he only, didn?t stamp his authority on a game, that due to both teams situations, was always going to be feisty.

However, I digress, suffice to say all at Chelsea will be wondering how such an extortionate fine can be paid. No doubt the cleaners will be asked to use extra vigilance when clearing up in the prawn sandwich quarters of Stamford Bridge this Saturday afternoon.

Indeed, perhaps us true supporters should pass a few collection buckets around to raise the necessary funds after all we?d hate to add further weight to the growing clamour that we?re totally dependent on Roman.

Strange that most of this noise emanates from those that have themselves spent vast amounts of money in the transfer market without achieving Premiership success.

You know who you are!
