They were always more wishful thinking than genuine bona-fida rumours but nevertheless there will several Vital Chelsea members more than a little disappointed to hear the following news.
The Argentine striker, Gonzalo Higuain, has confirmed that he has no interest, at the moment, in playing in the Premier League, by signing a new contract with Real Madrid. News that will disappoint those who had him linked to Chelsea.
The twenty-two year old Argentine striker is quoted, in the press, as remarking,
‘I’m the happiest man in the world with my renewal. To continue at the best club in the world is what I wanted, I couldn’t be happier.”
‘Obviously I’m calmer now. Now I’m focused 100 per cent on Argentina and thank God I don’t have to worry about anything else.”
‘I’m at a World Cup, I play in the best team in the world ? everything is perfect. Now I need to help my national team.’
Another one bites the dust I suspect!
