Chelsea Interest In Welsh Midfielder Waning

|

Back in the days when the summer transfer window was open, you may recall that transfer speculation saw Chelsea linked with the possible acquisition of the Arsenal midfielder, Aaron Ramsey.

Ramsey, 27-years-of-age, looks increasingly likely to leave the North London club after contract issues became very prevalent.

However, it appears that any interest Chelsea may have had in acquiring the services of the midfielder has, according to the news source, the Daily Star, waned.

Our source is reporting that the impressive recent form of Ross Barkley allied with Ruben Loftus-Cheek starting to establish himself in the first team squad, has given Chelsea second thoughts about making a move for Ramsey.

When you also take into consideration the impact young Mason Mount is having at Derby County, under the tutorship of Frank Lampard, it would appear foolhardy to spend big on somebody the club don’t really need.

But, here at Vital Chelsea, we’d like to hear your thoughts on the above conclusion.

Do we need Ramsey or are we well stocked when it comes to midfield talent?
