Chelsea Interested In What Could Be Perceived To Be A More Realistic Target

|

Whether Chelsea sign a striker or not this summer remains to be seen.

However, whichever way the pendulum swings on this one, there is no shortage of speculation linking the club with the acquisition of somebody to provide competition for the likes of Tammy Abraham and Olivier Giroud.

Yesterday, the name of Mauro Icardi was put forward as a potential purchase – Chelsea Linked With The Acquisition Of An Argentine Striker.

Today, somebody a little close to home gets an honourable mention with The Daily Mirror implying that Joshua King could be another name on the Chelsea wish-list.

Indeed, according to our source, the 28-year-old Bournemouth striker is a wanted man with it being claimed 4 out of the top 6 Premier League clubs are eyeing up a move for the player.

As for a price, back in January, when COVID-19 was just about to set off on its worldwide rampage, Bournemouth turned down an offer of £20 million for the player.

But, in these changing times, that figure could now be enough to swing a deal.

So, how about it, Joshua King to Chelsea anybody?

I think signing josuah king is not a bad ideal considering the world crisis that has affected club finances,I fink he will be a good back for both Abraham and Gerioud

I prefered Lampard to get Icardi to provide a competition with Abraham and Giroud or recruit Armando Broja to be our 3rd choice striker than buying Joshua King.

I’d pray Lampard get Upamecano or Tagfilico or Koulibaly to shore up our center back department, buy Hakimi Achraf to compete with James at right back department, sign Telles or Sandro or Chilwell or Jose Gaya of Valencia to fill in our leftback position, buy Havertz, Sancho and Icardi to compete with European elites next season, then sell off Zappacosta, Emerson, Drinkwater, Bakayoko, Barkley etc. and allow Pedro, Willian to run down their contract totally.

I didn’t see Joshua king as a prolific goal scorer, if Chelsea is to challenge for trophy 🏆 next season they should look for a better striker to support Tammy
