Chelsea`s failure to add another top-notch striker to the squad could prove costly in the quest for silverware this season.

With Alvaro Morata having picked up a hamstring injury and with Michy Batshuayi (so far) failing to do himself justice, Antonio Conte must be disappointed that those who pursue such deals didn`t bring Fernando Llorente to Stamford Bridge in the summer.

If Chelsea don`t sign another striker, once the January transfer window opens, I`ve no doubt that the Vital Chelsea members will be asking some serious questions.

However, one exciting striker that has been linked with a move to Stamford Bridge, Andrea Belotti could be about to end any speculation relating to a move away from the Serie A club, Torino.

According to the Daily Mail, which has picked up on something in the Italian news source Tuttosport, the 22-year-old has been offered a very lucrative new contract by his club.

The new contract, will see Belotti pocket a huge £2.6 million a year pay rise whilst the details of his new contract will give him a 4% cut of any future transfer deal he`s involved in.

Currently, his existing contract includes a buy-out clause which sets his transfer fee at a hefty £89 million.

I guess we can cross this one off the list then!
