Tonight, Chelsea welcome Huddersfield Town, to Stamford Bridge, for the last home fixture of the 2017 / 2018 Premier League season.
It only seems like yesterday that Chelsea started their defence of the 2016 / 2017 Premier League title, against Burnley.
It hasn’t been the best of seasons, but it can still be salvaged.
Chelsea are still in with a slim chance of a top-four place, although we need either Tottenham Hotspur or Liverpool to slip up in one of their remaining fixtures.
There’s also, a week on Saturday, a Wembley date with Manchester United in the 2018 FA Cup Final, a game we’re quite capable of winning.
But, it will be no picnic this evening as Huddersfield need just one point to ensure they retain their Premier League status and they showed their battling qualities by getting a very creditable 0-0 draw away to Manchester City, last time out.
