Chelsea v West Ham United – Early Team News

|

The kick off for this London Derby is 16:30 on Sunday afternoon. Chelsea`s recent run of games has been poor. West Ham, too, have had their problems both on and off the field.

In terms of team news Thibaut Courtois is fit and should play in place of Willy Caballero who has deputised in the last two games. Courtois has not played since the 3-0 Champions League defeat against Barcelona.

Both Pedro Rodriguez and Davide Zappacosta are back in contention having missed the Tottenham game. Danny Drinkwater could also feature having returned to the bench last weekend. David Luiz is still missing with a long-standing ‘knee injury`.

Ross Barkley is also likely to miss out, as he recovers full fitness. However, he did manage a 60 minute run-out with the development squad last week.

It`s difficult to see Antonio Conte changing much in regards to team selection. He`ll likely play a 3-4-3 formation, the only possible changes seeing Courtois and Drinkwater come into the starting XI,

Thibaut Courtois
Antonio Rudiger
Andreas Christensen
César Azpilicueta
Marcos Alonso
Danny Drinkwater
N`golo Kante
Victor Moses
Eden Hazard
Willian
Alvaro Morata

West Ham will be without, Michail Antonio, and Andy Carroll (a given), the former picking up a hamstring injury and the latter being Andy Carroll.

Winston Reid and James Collins are both doubtful but there is a possible return for Javier Hernandez and Manuel Lanzini. Hernandez in his United days always had the misfortune to score against us having come on for the final 15 minutes, let`s hope we avoid that.
