Yesterday, in the U17 World Cup Final, in India, the England U17 side did the country proud.

Having reached the final, after some convincing displays, the U17 side were matched with Spain in the final.

Unfortunately, the youngsters didn`t get off to the best of starts, slipping to a 2-0 deficit, in the first-half.

But that battling spirit shone through and after a scintillating turnaround won the U17 World Cup 5-2.

But, more importantly, amongst the eleven selected to start this prestigious fixture were 4 youngsters on the books of Chelsea Football Club, with the starting eleven reading as thus:

Curtis Anderson (Manchester City)
Steven Sessegnon (Fulham)
Marc Guehi (Chelsea)
Jonathan Panzo (Chelsea)
Joel Latibeaudiere (Manchester City)
Phil Foden (Manchester City)
George McEachran (Chelsea)
Tashan Oakley-Boothe (Tottenham Hotspur)
Callum Hudson-Odoi (Chelsea)
Morgan Gibbs-White (Wolverhampton Wanderers)
Rhian Brewster (Liverpool)

There was also Chelsea representation from the substitutes bench as well:

Nya Kirby (Crystal Palace)
Conor Gallagher (Chelsea)
Angel Gomes (Manchester United)

Of those selected with Chelsea connections, Marc Guehi scored the fifth goal in the victory whilst George McEachran is the younger brother of somebody we all know well, Josh McEachran.

Our congratulations go to all those involved, it was wonderful comeback and a marvellous achievement.
