Chelsea`s men may have been knocked out of the Champions League but, Chelsea`s ladies have been competing in the quarter-finals of their equivalent for the first time in their history.

Emma Hayes side travelled to France to take on Montpellier as they looked to reach the semi-final of the Women`s Champions League. Goals from Ji So-Yun and Erin Cuthbert sealed the victory. The two crucial away goals giving Chelsea a good advantage heading back Kingsmeadow in a weeks time. After the game Hayes was happy with the 2-0 win having made changes at the interval,

`We had some good opportunities in the first half but I felt the game lacked balance and control on our part.
In the second half we made some adjustments to improve what we were doing and we started the stronger of the two teams. We had a great opportunity, which we scored from, and then we hit the post through Bachmann and had another good chance.`
