Although this season might not have lived up to the expectation levels expressed back in August, there have still been some huge positives to take from it.

One positive is the emergence of Andreas Christensen.

The young Danish defender, having spent several seasons on loan in the Bundesliga, has shown his true potential and looks set to be a mainstay of the Chelsea defence for many a year to come.

Unfortunately, the young Dane has made a few errors recently, most notably against Barcelona where a slack pass enabled Barcelona to equalise at Stamford Bridge, an away goal that saw Chelsea`s task of going to the Nou Camp to get a result that much more difficult.

However, aware that some errors have crept into his game, the defender hasn`t been slow in trying to address the situation with the local media source, Evening Standard, reporting that Christensen has spoken to our captain, leader and legend John Terry about the situation.

Confirming the chat, Christensen is quoted as having remarked about the chat:

“My team-mates have seen all my other performances, so they know that these mistakes aren`t typical for me.

“I have had a smaller talk with John Terry: he has also experienced setbacks and it is always nice to talk to someone watching it from the outside and to learn

“He told me that it is natural to make mistakes and he tried to put it in perspective for me saying that, if a forward misses a chance, he can make it good again by scoring when he gets the next opportunity.

“We can`t change a goal scored against us, so when we make mistakes it is more crucial and it is easy for people to point fingers. I have realised it, looked at it and now I have moved on.”

That`s good to hear, if Andreas continues to progress as he has this season then he`s set for an outstanding career at Stamford Bridge.
