With the international break now upon us, news relating to Chelsea Football Club isn`t as abundant as we`d like.

However, here at Vita Chelsea we`re determined to keep our front-page rolling over with a variety of articles.

Today, lurking in the pages of the leading tabloid publication this nation of ours produces, The Sun, is a little something relating to a player that Chelsea didn`t consider worthy of a place in the squad or persevering with.

The player in question being Mohamed Salah.

Salah was jettisoned by Chelsea without actually being, after signing from FC Basel, the chance to get used to his new surroundings.
His progress since then has been astounding.

Returning to the Premier League, I`ll own up and admit I was one of those who poured scorn on Liverpool paying a huge fee for the Egyptian striker.

I`ve since had to eat my slice of humble pie as Salah has gone from strength-to-strength, scoring 28 Premier League goals this season.

Naturally, his scoring prowess has attracted the attention of Europe`s big-guns and the insinuation being given by our referenced source, The Sun, is that Salah, this summer, is set to become the transfer target of Real Madrid, Paris Saint-Germain and Barcelona, with a world record fee of £200 million being mentioned in despatches.

Now, if only we`d have shown a little patience!

Hindsight, such a wonderful thing!
