Chelsea’s Hesitancy Over The Managerial Situation Is Unusual For The Club

|

There are, in the media this morning, conflicting reports relating to the possibility of Maurizio Sarri becoming the next manager of Chelsea Football Cub.

The Daily Mail, leads with the inference that the ex-Napoli boss is confident the job is his and that he is already assembling his backroom team.

However, another news source, the metro, is painting a different story.

Apparently, the Napoli president, Aurelio de Laurentiis, is inferring that Chelsea have not made any approach to Napoli with regards to Sarri succeeding Antonio Conte.

Although Sarri has been replaced in the managerial hot-seat by our old friend Carlo Ancelotti, Napoli still hold Sarri’s registration and will want compensation.

It appears that, in stark contrast to other managerial changes we’ve overseen at Stamford Bridge, Chelsea are dithering.

Previously, the replacement of a manager has been a cold, sharp, calculated and quick action.

Could there, possibly, on this occasion, be hesitation in the camp because those in charge are not sure of which route to take?

Here at Vital Chelsea, we’d be interested to hear your viewpoint on the ongoing situation.
