There I was earlier this week, merrily musing that I was interested in possibly watching the England internationals during this break.

My interest came from the fact that Gareth Southgate had selected two Chelsea youngsters in the shape of Tammy Abraham and Rueben Loftus-Cheek.

I also spoke about the growing number of withdrawals that had affected the squad hoping that they may give one, or both, of our youngsters the opportunity to make their senior debut for England,

Well it seems that wish could be about to come true.

According to Sky Sports, Reuben Loftus-Cheek is set to start for England against Germany, on Friday night.

Currently on a season long loan spell at Crystal Palace, Gareth Southgate knows full well what Loftus-Cheek is capable of having managed the player at U21 level.

If our source is correct, here`s hoping Reuben has a good game and does himself and Chelsea Football Club proud.
