The second player to arrive at Chelsea Football Club on transfer deadline day was Davide Zappacosta.
The Italian international was signed from the Italian club, Torino, on a four-year deal with the fee, officially, remaining undisclosed.
A defender, Zappacosta is expected to add depth to our wing-back positions and the player is well known to Conte as it was Antonio that gave the player his first international call-up to the national squad back in May 2016.
So far, Zappacosta has won four caps for the Italian senior side and last season he made 29 appearances in Serie A for Torino.
Remarking about joining Chelsea, Zappacosta had this to say to the media,
‘I hope I can show my quality to the coach, my team-mates and the supporters.”
