Speculation continues to appear, in the media, implying that Real Madrid and Eden Hazard could become an item.

Hazard has made a sparkling return to form this season, scoring fifteen goals, his highest total in a season for Chelsea, whilst also pushing N`Golo Kante all the way in the recent PFA Player of the Year awards.

Ahead of the fixture away to Everton, Antonio Conte has had a few words to say about his 26-year-old jewel-in-the-crown, expressing a confidence that Hazard will choose to remain at Stamford Bridge, remarking to the good folk of The Guardian,

“I don`t think that this idea to let Hazard leave is in the mind of the club.

“I think we have to improve the team, to reinforce the team. But you know that, in football, there is also the will of the player.

“I think Eden is very happy to stay in Chelsea, to stay with us and work with us. I can tell this. But the future? I haven`t a crystal ball, no. I think everything is possible. Everything is possible in football and not only for Eden but for every single player. Everything is possible. You must understand that there are different wills to compare and then to take the decision.”

But when it comes to guaranteeing that Hazard will be a Chelsea player next season, Conte would only say,

“I think that it`s impossible for me to take this responsibility, not only for Eden but for every single player. In this situation it`s the club who have the final decision. The club has the final word about this situation. I think it`s right for it to be like this.”

With talk of a world record bid coming in for Hazard, from Real Madrid, could it be a case of an offer coming in Chelsea just can`t refuse?

Your thoughts on the subject matter would be most appreciated.
