With Chelsea on course to win the 2016 / 2017 title, speculation linking Antonio Conte with a return to Serie A continue to surface.
Ahead of the clash with Bournemouth, a game which Chelsea went on to win 3-1 and maintain their seven-point game at the top, Conte used his pre-match press conference to quash talk of a move to Italy, a move currently being championed by an Italian agent going by the name of Federico Pastorello, with the boss remarking,
‘I’m very happy to stay.
‘I read this interview about Pastorello. I don’t know him and I don’t know why this person has spoken about me.’
‘I worked in Italy. They want to come back for me in Italy. It’s normal. I have two more years of contract with Chelsea.
‘This is the truth. This is the most important thing. I don’t like when I listen to other persons talking about me.’
Just the words we wanted to hear Antonio, you`ve changed our club around after the disaster of last season and the future is clearly bright.
