Last weekend, as Chelsea opened their 2017 / 2018 Premier League season with a fixture against Burnley, many pundits were surprised to see Antonio Conte sat on the bench wearing a tracksuit as opposed to his traditional match day suit.
Today we are assured that when Chelsea take on Tottenham Hotspur, Conte will be wearing his traditional suit.
Speaking to the media about why he had a tracksuit on last weekend, Conte remarked,
“There is a reason why I wore a tracksuit – I didn`t bring the suit with me! But from Sunday, I will wear my suit again. It`s not a lucky suit – but I do like to be on the bench with a suit.”
It turns out that Conte couldn`t wear his traditional suit last weekend because whilst making a house move from his native Italy to London, he`d forgotten to include them in his packing!
