With attention turning back to the Premier League this weekend, after a two-week break courtesy of international football, Chelsea take on Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park.

Ahead of the fixture we have some early team-news.

Starting with our hosts Crystal Palace:

Roy Hodgson will be hoping his side get a significant boost with the return of Wilfried Zaha, the winger has been side-lined, with a knee injury, since the opening day of the season.

There is also the possibility that Scott Dann may make a return to the Palace defence after injury.

But, Christian Benteke, on the other hand, remains side-lined.

A player we`re familiar with, Ruben Loftus-Cheek, will not participate as he isn`t allowed to feature against his parent club.

Continuing with Chelsea:

David Luiz is available for selection after serving a three-game suspension.

However, Antonio Conte will be without the trio of Danny Drinkwater, N`Golo Kante and Alvaro Morata.

Talking about the injured trio, Antonio Conte had this to say at his pre-match press conference:

‘As you know very well we have three injured players. Alvaro Morata, I hope to have him back very soon. For the next game.

‘Danny Drinkwater is progressing well but not ready yet. We must have patience with him.

‘N’Golo Kante, we are going to do a scan next week to check his situation and if he is improving. It is a hamstring problem. A big loss for us. You know the importance of him in our team. We don’t have a similar player with the same characteristics. Now we have Tiemoue Bakayoko and Cesc Fabregas. We have to find different solutions.’

With Morata out, Conte also gave a hint that Michy Batshuayi could feature, further adding,

‘Batshuayi started to play against Burnley in the first game and in the Champions League and Carabao Cup. He is in contention for the game tomorrow.’

It`ll be interesting to see who features in the starting eleven this Saturday.
