Against Watford there were times during the game, especially when Watford edged ahead 2-1, we were left pondering just how many we`d get beaten by.

But, thanks to some poor finishing, Chelsea weathered the storm and got back on level terms, courtesy of an equaliser from Michy Batshuayi, when up popped Cesar Azpilicueta, at the far-post to head home a teasing cross into the danger area by Willian.

In heading home that goal, Azpilicueta eased the pressure on Antonio Conte whilst also scoring his first goal of the season. But, the goal made it five goals Cesar has been involved with, including his four assists, the most by any Premier League defender this season.

After the game Cesar spoke to Sky Sports and had this to say,

‘We left it very late and we all had to dig in until the last minute – we showed our spirit. It wasn’t our best win but it was important to get back to winning ways.

‘We started really well and had chances to score a second but then conceded with the last kick of the first half. The confidence is a bit low and that didn’t help us. But we didn’t give up and it was a big win for us.

‘We went three games without winning and we have had difficult games so it was important to get back in the Premier League to winning ways.

‘We know it is a long season and we will have ups and downs, we have had a difficult period and this is the first step.’
