With the constant speculation surrounding Antonio Conte continuing, Chelsea have announced that the ladies manager Emma Hayes has signed a new three-and-half-year deal that will keep her at the club until 2021.

An unblemished record in the Women`s Super League so far this season, coupled with a fine victory over Bayern Munich in the UEFA Women`s Champions League have impressed the club.

Speaking to the Chelsea FC Website Techinical Director, Michael Emanalo said,

`We are delighted Emma has decided to sign a new contract. She is one of the leading coaches in women`s football and she has helped Chelsea grow into one of the most talented and exciting teams in Europe. Her passion for the club and the project we have here is a huge inspiration, and we all look forward to a lot more success together.`

Hayes herself has enjoyed her spell in the Chelsea hot seat and will be hoping for success,

`This is a place which I feel very much a part of and it is very dear in my heart. I couldn`t see myself anywhere else and it makes absolute sense to commit to the club going forward. I couldn`t be happier at this point in my career.`

Since arriving in 2012, Hayes has overseen the transition to professional status for the women`s side. In 2015 Chelsea ladies won their first silverware as a result completing an FA Cup and league double. As recognition of her services to football, she was awarded the MBE in the Queen`s Birthday Honours List of 2016.

Here at Vital Chelsea, all we can do is wish her continued success as she takes Chelsea Football Club into the 21st century.
