But is he?
Although all the speculation, this morning, points to Antonio Conte being the favourite to take over the managerial hot-seat at Stamford Bridge I`d wager there`s still, even though sources are saying detailed talks have taken place, a lot more to discuss before Conte puts pen-to-paper on a contract.
Therefore it is a bit presumptuous for any news source to speculate on what might happen if Conte takes on the Chelsea chalice.
Therefore I`m sure how much weight the suggestion, coming from a normally respected news source, The Daily Telegraph, which is running with the assumption today that Conte has identified the AS Roma 27 year-old midfielder Radja Nainggolan as a potential signing when Conte does take charge.
Similarly, I`m not sure how much credence to give to the inference coming from the Daily Express that Conte also wants to bring the respected AS Roma director of football Walter Sabatini to Stamford Bridge with him as well.
We`ll just sit back, deal with all the speculation and wait and see what does happen shall we?
