With Jose Mourinho`s tenure as the manager of Chelsea Football Club seemingly balanced on a knife-edge, his dismissal could also see the career of a Chelsea player also come to an end.
According to one media source, the Spanish media vehicle, donbalon, Eden Hazard will quit Chelsea to move to Real Madrid if Mourinho is axed,
The article goes on to suggest that Real Madrid have held talks with 24-year-old Hazard about a move to the Bernabeu and have received a favourable reaction.
Now, on one hand, the above inference would seem to make sense, it would go some way to explaining why the Eden Hazard of this season has been so poor compared to the Eden Hazard of last season, with the Belgian seemingly, hankering for a move.
But, on the other hand, it raises a few questions.
Firstly, if Real Madrid have held talks with Hazard then rules have been broken in relation to tapping up players who are under contract, if you recall Eden happily put pen-to-paper on a long deal at the back end of last season.
Secondly, there are those who believe that it is Mourinho who Hazard has lost respect for, after the opening day shenanigans against Swansea and that if Mourinho was to leave then that might well bring a smile back to the talented Belgian`s face.
