Is 34-years-of-age too old for a legitimate transfer target?
The reason I ask is that lurking in the pages of the Daily Mail, is the suggestion that Chelsea are, indeed, interested in a player who is that old.
The player in question is the Brazilian Daniel Alves.
According to our referenced source, his current club, Juventus, are considering severing ties with the full-back by means of his contract being cancelled by mutual consent.
However, if Chelsea is to be the player`s next destination then it may have to be a last-ditch move.
Our quoted source is suggesting that Alves representatives have already held talks with Manchester City over a proposed move.
But what`s the general feeling amongst the Vital Chelsea membership, is Alves, at 34-years-of-age, too old to be considered a legitimate transfer target or does he have at least two good seasons left in him and could, possibly, do a decent job for us?
