Some sources are reporting that Chelsea are preparing a further bid for Juan Mata and are embroiled in a three club fight to secure his signature.
Those same sources report that Valencia are looking for a sum of £26.4 million in order to authorize his release.
Mata, a skilful winger, has also caught the eye of Arsene Wenger but some sources are inferring that Arsenal are reluctant to pay the price Valencia are asking.
One source, Marca; claims that Valencia have already turned down a bid from Chelsea, of something in the region of £21.9 million.
With Chelsea apparently looking for a classy operative on the flanks, could Mata be our man and could his Spanish compatriot, Fernando Torres, convince him that SW6 is the place to be?
Only time will tell!
